Project Details

Shooting Context

In collaboration with Passion Horlogère, we carried out a detail-oriented packshot session highlighting the Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda 1950 timepiece. The aim of this project was to capture two essential elements of the watch: its minimalist dial and the intricate mechanism visible on the back. This shoot is part of an editorial initiative focused on showcasing the refined craftsmanship and horological precision of this iconic model.

Challenges Faced

  • Enhancing the dial details: Capturing the finesse of the hour markers and hands while preserving the minimalist design harmony.

  • Highlighting the mechanism: Ensuring perfect clarity of the movement’s components without creating distracting reflections.

  • Maintaining visual coherence: Harmonizing both shots to reflect the watch’s timeless elegance.

Solutions Provided

  • Precise Shooting: Tight framing was used to emphasize the dial textures and movement details, with controlled lighting to maintain clarity and avoid glare.

  • Art Direction: A minimalist approach was chosen to mirror the watch’s clean design and enhance image legibility.

  • Fine Retouching: Subtle adjustments to contrast and color enhanced the metallic finishes while ensuring a faithful representation of the materials.
