Shooting Context
As part of a collaboration with Maison du Whisky, we created a series of studio still lifes to elevate the image of Dalmore, a renowned name in the world of whisky. The goal was to capture the depth and richness of the product through two distinct visual styles. On one hand, a dark and elegant setup highlighting the bottle and its packaging; on the other, two immersive hero shots showcasing the bottle alongside a tasting glass.
Challenges Encountered
-
Creating an atmosphere that reflects the tasting experience through lighting and staging.
-
Enhancing product details such as glass reflections, label texture, and whisky hues.
-
Differentiating the visual approaches between a classic still life and two immersive hero shots.
Solutions Provided
-
Dark and Elegant Ambiance: carefully crafted lighting to create subtle reflections that emphasize the bottle and its packaging.
-
Refined Hero Shot: a staged scene with a filled tasting glass, capturing the whisky’s brilliance and golden tones.
-
Fine Post-Production: subtle retouching to harmonize contrasts and enhance the visual intensity of the images.
Let’s discuss
Spirit still life photography enhances the image of a premium whisky by capturing its nuances and depth. A whisky ambiance packshot highlights the bottle, its packaging, and its sensory universe through carefully crafted lighting and composition. The spirit hero shot adds an immersive dimension by featuring a tasting glass, reflecting the color and texture of the product. This type of bottle photography is essential for advertising campaigns, social media, and marketing materials, ensuring premium and impactful visuals.
